Olympic medalist Beth Tweddle has done it again. She is a champion once more , but this time in Iceskating not in gymnastics.
Beth and Ice partner Dan Whiston Lifted the” Dancing on Ice “Trophy on Sunday night, after 10 weeks of gruelling training including a live performance every Sunday night. Beth took on the new challenge with excellent results, even from week one she was skating really well showing off some cool moves never seen before on the show.
The Final was decided by a public vote, and even though Beth was slightly lower on points from the judges than her rival Matt Lapinskas, when the final vote came in Beth had won!!
The Public have really supported her through the series, Beth was the only competitor never to have been in the bottom two “ Skate-off ” showing that the public vote was always in her favour.
What will be next for Beth … who knows?
She said: ‘I have not turned my back on gymnastics, still training & can’t wait to watch everyone at the British Championships.’
‘I really don’t know if it’s the end for me and gymnastics. I need to know in my heart what I want to do.’
No doubt she will have love and support from her many fans in whatever she does.
